Evelyn Martinez, Ambassador 

Evelyn Martinez has enjoyed volunteering for various organizations since she started in the field of Medicine 20 years ago. Her passion for helping others led her to changing careers when she immigrated to Canada 12 years ago. As a new immigrant, she took advantage of government programs offered by several immigrant serving agencies. Evelyn did her practicum as an administrative assistant with Heart & Stroke Foundation where eventually became a full-time employee working in their Fund Development and Community Engagement Department.

She loves learning new skills, one of which was working with databases. This landed her a job with CBE’s Education Matters, the non-profit arm of the Board of Education. Up to this day, Evelyn’s drive to help other people achieve their full potential has had a tremendous, positive impact on the community.  Evelyn is excited to join OPC and advocate for the mission and vision of this organization.
