Jida Fahimi, OPC Public Relations Director 2024 - 2028  

My name is Jida Fahimi, originally from Morocco. I am married and proud mother of two wonderful boys. I am a graduate with a master’s degree in engineering with experience from various environments and roles. I thrive in spaces where I can learn and develop new skills. Back home, I volunteered at senior centers provided meals, essentials supplies, and companionship were the tasks I took. I also volunteered at an orphanage where I helped distribute clothes, school supplies and tutored children. Since moving to Canada, I’ve continued this spirit by tutoring kids, supported families with settlement, guided them in completing important documents, and offered them translation services.

For me, education is the key to success, as it opens the door to continuous growth. Always looking back is a core part of who I am, thus, I am committed to helping others whenever I can. Community support has always been close to my heart, and I am eager to join OPC because I believe that giving can be as rewarding as receiving.
