Hello, my name is Jennifer Gold. My biggest pride is being a mother to my amazing teenage son. I have lived across Alberta since an early age and have settled in Calgary since 2014. I am the Treasurer of Outreach Program Canada (OPC). I have always been a huge supporter for various fundraising events and campaigns amongst my community, family, and friends. In the summer of 2019 I met our founder, Evelyn Serbout, at a networking event for solo travelers. I knew the first day I met her that she was someone special coming into my life. As I learnt more about Evelyn and listened to her stories of helping children in her School Outreach Programs, I was honored when she offered me the opportunity to travel with her and a small, amazing group of people to Morocco in November of 2019. It was there that I experienced firsthand her work and generosity in helping those in need. The day we visited a small village, helping over 100 underprivileged children with backpacks, school supplies, clothing and stuffed animals, was incredibly humbling, leaving me with a strong desire and building a passion in me to be more involved with helping others. It was shortly after that Evelyn approached me in being a part of forming Outreach Program Canada – a dream she had for building her own non-profit registered charity. I happily came on-board with 7 other amazing women. The gift of giving changes you. I am very honored and privileged to be a part of OPC and I am excited for the change we will bring to those in need here and around the world.
